"Appetite" is an audiovisual performance inspired by the longstanding collaboration between Yagama and J-Lab. A woman's daydreams about seducing a man transform into a fantasy world of desire. Artful textures blend with an evokation of falling in love as a process of bewitchment, in which the soul - a woman, puts a spell on the body - a man. The performance explores the treshold zone of seduction as a magical and somewhat absurd act of entchantment.
Duration 40 min.
Live audio/video

J-Lab was originally conceived as a pure-live project on one hand focussing on fusing techno, house, electro and soul inluences he calls 'spacefunk', with the other over the year releases have popped up on After-Dinner, Metroline, Motronice, Alt Recordings, Horseplay, Mischeavious & the label collective Unoiki, of which he is a part.
Jon Dickens is the man behind J-Lab. A Berlin-based Brit, the project began 8 years ago as a improvised live performance project, with a musical range that spans his own fusion of techno, house, electro and soul influences he calls 'spacefunk': to deeper more abstract electronica.
